The second volume of our new Irish Folk Song set consists of the intermediate level arrangements of traditional tunes in Volume I, plus 2 bonus pieces! They are arranged and categorized not only in the order of difficulty but also based on their melodic range.
If you are a guitar player who is beginning to tackle multi-line textures while improving your technique and sightreading skills, this would be the perfect step after the first volume (single-line pieces).

Introductory note from Dr. Emre:
I’m ecstatic to announce an upcoming set of Irish Folk tune arrangements. They represent a great musical tradition with rich melodic variety, rhythms and ornamentation that are rooted in history going back to the great Irish Baroque composer, Turlough O’Carolan, and even further into the Renaissance period.
The set began with just a few tunes and has evolved into a much larger project! Aside from their musical depth and appeal, they also make a great practice set for classical guitar. I have arranged them in the order of difficulty from single-line melodies (Volume I) to advanced textures (subsequent volumes).
A special shout out to Eugene Frizzell, our patron and student. He played a critical role in this project from start to finish and provided invaluable insight and inspiration throughout. Moreover, he generously shared historical references about his Irish heritage.
Marco Naidu –
Thanks a million! Every single tune is an absolutely joy to play, they are so well put together. I’m planning to add a few these in my permanent repertoire.
