We provide music instruction and sheet music publishing services (“Services”) through our website. Our website is designed to comply with the following international legislation with regards to data protection and user privacy:

As the above data protection legislation is extremely rigorous and stringent, our website is likely compliant with the user privacy and data protection legislation in your country as well, even if you are not located in an EU country or in USA.

2. LAGA’s general stance regarding data protection and user privacy

Right to privacy is a constitutional right that is not only declared by the U.S. Constitution (4th amendment) but also numerous national constitutions around the world, so we never sell, share or otherwise distribute personal information. We hate spam ourselves and never send any unsolicited emails. We only collect as much personal data as absolutely necessary in order to provide our services, and we provide easy methods for our visitors, students and customers to opt-out of any communication and remove their information from our database.

3. Information that this website collects and how we protect your information

When you download a free sample file, purchase sheet music, sign up for a free or paid online instruction program through this website, your information such as your name, email address and the IP address of the device that is being used to access this website, will be stored within this website’s database by using cookies, which are small text files that are placed on your device. This helps us provide a better user experience, however, you may prefer to disable cookies on this site and on others. The most effective way to do this is to disable cookies in your browser. Disabling cookies on your internet browser will prevent this website from tracking any part of your visit to this website, although it may also disable some of the website’s functionality. We never store or record any payment information nor do we share your signup details with any third party. If you choose to sign up for a paid, monthly subscription to our online programs, you may cancel your payments at any time using the link on your student account page. As for all other data associated with your activity on this website, all data will be removed within 24 hours of your directly contacting us via email (support@laguitar.com) or via our contact form.

If you choose to add a comment or a product review to any of the pages on our website, the name and email address you enter with your comment will be saved to this website’s database, along with your computer’s IP address, and the time and date that you submitted the comment. This information is not passed on to any of the third party data processors and it is never sold, shared, or otherwise distributed.

In order to protect your information, we perform periodic security audits on our website and all code, plugins and software are regularly updated.

4. Email Forms, Newsletters

If you choose to contact us using any of the contact forms on our website, none of the data that you supply will be sold, shared or otherwise distributed. All email sent and received by our email servers are encrypted using SHA-2, 256-bit cryptography.

We will report any unlawful data breach of this website’s database or the database(s) of any of our third party data processors to any and all relevant persons and authorities within 72 hours of the breach if it is apparent that personal data stored in an identifiable manner has been stolen.
