Please provide the Publisher and Arranger information for this performance
of Pavane Pour une infante defunte. Who’s arrangement is this?

    Thank you!

    • XeroK00L

He arranged it himself, as the copyright information noted in the description.

Do you know if he will be publishing his arrangement?

I have played 2 arrangements. One is by Alexander Bellows and another in a book of music arranged by Christopher Parkening.

This performance and interpretation are the most beautiful I have heard. Thank you

Absolutely amazing and completely worth the $21 I paid to finally learn how to play a song that I’ve been infatuated with since hearing the version on space dandy. I first attempted to learn this song by trying ultimate guitar but the arrangement was shit. Then googled harder and found a famous classical guitarists version. It sounded better than the first one but once it got to a little before a minute in, the arrange was equally as choppy and it’s extremely frustrating not being able to have the notes flow and ring into the next note because your fingers have to immediately let go and move many frets down. This arrangement has made all the difference. This is the first song I’ve learned for a couple years and granted it’s a very challenging song, this arrangement makes it possible if you have the time and spatial cognition bc damn this song is tricky on guitar. My only comment is I wish there was a supplemental video with cameras on the both hands and explanation of hand positions.

I’ve listened to it so many times that I can’t just not learn it =). Absolutely worth paying the price for the sheet music! I’ve looked for many arrangements of this song and this one is indeed the best.

Funny how Ravel apparently didn’t think much of this wonderful piece of music that he wrote when he was a student at the Paris Conservatory taking composition classes with Fauré: “I fully realize its flaws: the influence of Chabrier, too obvious, and the rather poor form. The remarkable performance [of pianist Ricardo Vines who premiered it] of this incomplete and undaring work contributed a lot, I think, to its success.”
