During the week, we receive many inquiries about both our studio and online programs. We felt that it was important to share some of the questions that we receive from potential students with the community on our LAGA Online Forum, since many people have similar concerns.
This particular question pertained specifically to beginners, so we thought we should post it here:
Q: Would you please send me some information about your online guitar classes for beginners?
A: We will be happy to provide you with information on our guitar classes for beginners. Were you interested in learning to play the classical guitar, Flamenco guitar, or rock and pop guitar?
All of our online guitar classes in every style begin with the basics and are great choices for beginners. Our classical guitar program is especially well-suited to beginners, since in it you learn to play actual melodies very early on. It teaches you to play scales quite early in the learning process. Scales are the building blocks of all music, and are especially important for guitarists. Our classical course teaches valuable information about intervals, chord structure, and many more advanced techniques, as well as how to read music. These basic principles of good guitar technique give you a powerful advantage in not only your playing, but also in writing songs, in arranging pieces for the guitar, and in actual performance. From the instruction you receive in LAGA Classical, you will develop a powerful right-hand and left-hand technique which will give you an edge in mastering the guitar.
Our rock and pop course is also a good choice for a beginner. In it, you learn partial chords at first, moving on to full chords and chord progressions early in the learning process.
