After its founding in 2005, gratified that they have met the needs of many, Los Angeles Guitar Academy wanted to share the joy of playing the guitar with even more students worldwide.That is precisely the reason the Academy took the risk to expand its offerings to include online guitar lessons. Classical and Flamenco guitar lessons are not readily accessible to many. When they realized that only low-quality online guitar instruction was available to those who were too busy or lacked the funds to afford private studio guitar lessons, the classically-trained instructors at LAGA wanted to do something to raise the bar for online guitar lessons.

Their mission was to make the top-quality instruction that their private students receive in their Los Angeles studios available to everyone. They wanted to meet the needs of countless guitarists all over the world who want world-class instruction at a price they can afford and at a time that fits with their schedule–all in the comfort of their own home.

During 2008, Los Angeles Guitar Academy’s instructors worked feverishly–recording thousands of instructional video guitar lessons and writing instructions, tips, and sheet music for every one of those lessons. They incorporated the online repertoire database they used for their private students, and then added more pieces to keep their online students’ interest.

In January 2009, Los Angeles Guitar Academy, launched its online guitar lesson program, Los Angeles Guitar Academy Online. LAGA Online has something for every guitarist, regardless of level or playing style. A systematic, comprehensive curriculum, LAGA Online teaches both classical guitar and Flamenco guitar, both of which are basic building blocks for every other style and genre. They offer unlimited access to top-quality, affordable guitar lessons twenty-four hours a day, seven days a week.

The academy’s online guitar instructors offer personalized instruction through monthly feedback. For those who finish the online course, or those students who want private lessons but cannot come to Los Angeles, LAGA also offers live webcam guitar lessons.
